GPS Tracker in the car

What is GPS?

GPS (Global Positioning System) is a system that can track the location of a particular object or person at all times. GPS tracking is one of the most efficient methods of tracking an object or person without spending too much money. The Decos GPS tracker is therefore a very well-known system, but what exactly is a GPS tracker?

GPS consists of a network of satellites and receivers and is used to determine the exact location of objects and people on earth.

Types of GPS trackers

GPS trackers exist for many different things. The most well-known GPS tracker is used for in the car. This is usually a loose device that you can put in the car. If your car is stolen, you can use the GPS tracker to find out where it is. However, GPS trackers are being used for more and more situations.

Built-in GPS tracker

There are not only separate GPS trackers, but you can also build in a GPS tracker. You can do this very easily in a car, machine or boat. This ensures that everything is properly secured and that other people cannot easily find the GPS tracker.

Trip registration

There are also certain GPS trackers with built-in trip recording. This is especially interesting for company cars. With trip registration, all kilometres driven by a car are registered. Besides kilometre registration, trip registration also gives an overview of the driver’s driving behaviour, for example braking distance and speed. This allows you to call your drivers to account for their driving behaviour and prevent accidents and excess fuel consumption.
