Formula 1 fans in the Netherlands are plentiful! We have the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort, but there are also plenty of other events that further fuel the passion for Formula 1. Whether you are a racing fan who cannot resist following the speedsters or just love the thrill and excitement of motorsport, there is always something to enjoy. In this blog, we briefly discuss the most fun Formula 1-related events in the Netherlands, which you should definitely check out!
1. Zandvoort Race Festival
Although we basically exclude Zandvoort here, the Zandvoort Race Festival deserves a mention. This is a precursor to the big Formula 1 race and offers plenty of motorsport activities for fans and curious visitors alike. During this festival, various car demonstrations are held, there is a fair, and you can enjoy live music and other festivities. It is the chance to get into the Formula 1 atmosphere without attending the Formula 1 race itself.
2. Circuit Zandvoort: more than just F1
Outside Formula 1, Circuit Zandvoort organises a range of motorsport events throughout the year. These include the DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters), GT races and national motorsport events. In addition, enthusiastic fans can take part in trackdays where they can drive a sports car or a race car themselves. It’s a great way to experience the thrill of racing for yourself!
3. Monaco on the Maas in Rotterdam
Although this event took place in the past, Monaco aan de Maas was a spectacular motorsport show that recreated a racing experience on the streets of Rotterdam.
