Tesla Semi: electric truck crushes competition
Tesla’s leap into the world of electric trucks has left the competition stunned. In a comprehensive test organised by the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE), the Tesla Semi demonstrated its impressive real-world performance. The test covered various aspects, including range and efficiency, and the Semi emerged as the undisputed winner, with competitors such as Volvo and Freightliner hot on its heels.
Electric truck steals the show
The results of the test confirm that the Tesla Semi excels on all fronts. Whether it was its impressive range, performance, or fast charging, the Semi outperformed its competitors. One notable point was that the Semi consistently had the fastest charging process, as reported by Autonews.
This test was not a light comparison between trucks, but a thorough investigation. For a fortnight, 22 electric trucks were tested, with Tesla Semis supplied by PepsiCo as participants.
One of the striking results was that the Tesla Semi achieved an impressive range of 643 kilometres on a full charge. Moreover, the battery could be charged to 80 per cent of its capacity in just 45 minutes. Over an 18-day period, PepsiCo’s Tesla Semi drove an average of 923 kilometres per day, with an impressive total weight of 32.6 tonnes.
The future of freight transport: Tesla Semi drives past competition
Tesla’s victory was convincing, with WattEV’s Nikola Tre BEV in second place with an average daily distance of 410 kilometres, less than half the Tesla Semi’s performance.
The results of this test are powerful evidence of Tesla’s expertise in developing advanced electric trucks. This truck not only promises to change the future of freight transport, but is already showing that it is ready to revolutionise the trucking industry.
With its impressive range, fast-charging capabilities and efficiency, the Tesla Semi sets a new standard for electric trucks. The future of freight transport seems to be electric, and Tesla is at the helm of this revolution.
